Each individual page has its own audience and it’s own best times to post for maximum engagement. What works for your page, may not be what works for someone else’s. Luckily Facebook has taken the guesswork out and provided you with a tool. You must be using a Facebook Page in order to take advantage of this, I am going to show you how.
Here is how to find the best times to post on facebook for your audience
Navigate to your Facebook page and choose the Insights tab. This is located just below the blue bar.
Then choose posts on the left side of the page. This will open a whole new section of insights that contain so much information to help you determine what type of posts and when you should be posting your content. One important thing to remember is that the times posted are Pacific Time, so you need to adjust the time table to make sure you are not missing your best times to post on facebook window to get maximum engagement. This feature is critical in being able to exactly when your fans are online and one of the biggest benefits to having a Page as opposed to only having a group. As I have said before, I think it is best to have a group AND a page. This is one of the main reasons why. You will never see this type of information with solely a Facebook group. It is also good to know that people who like your page, may not be the same people that follow your group. The times that are best to post on your page may not be the best time for your group.
This is what the posts tab will open to. This information is like gold. I’ve highlighted the tab that we need to be looking at in order to view this information as well as the times my fans are online. I can clearly see from the chart that there is a significant change according to the day of the week. This means every day is fair game for posting important content or things I want my audience to engage with. I can also see from the chart that between the hours of 7 pm and 9 pm are the best times to post on facebook for maximum engagement from MY audience.
